What is Claims Made Coverage?

Claims-Made Coverage provides protection for claims that occur and that are reported at the time the policy is in effect. An extended reporting endorsement (Tail Coverage) can provide coverage for the claims that occur during the coverage period, but reported after the policy is terminated. In some cases, under certain circumstances, a free tail may be provided by the insurance company.
